The VietConnect Trust Score
Every supplier receives a score from 0 to 100 based on 7 independent verification signals. The score is calculated automatically and updated regularly — no supplier can pay to increase their score.

Digital Presence
25 pointsWe check whether the supplier has an active website, whether it uses SSL encryption (https), and whether the site has real content — not just a placeholder page.
- Website responds with a valid status
- SSL certificate is active (https://)
- Page has meaningful content (not a parked domain)
Contact Verification
20 pointsWe verify that the supplier's email address and phone number are real and reachable — not generic or disconnected.
- Email domain has valid MX records (can receive mail)
- Phone number matches Vietnam's format standards
- Phone type detection (mobile, landline, VoIP)
Business Registration
20 pointsWe cross-reference the supplier's tax code and business license against Vietnam's government registry to confirm they are a real, active company.
- Tax code is registered and valid
- Business status is active (not suspended or dissolved)
- Government registry entry matches company details
Company Maturity
15 pointsEstablished companies with more employees tend to offer more reliable supply. We consider how long they've been in operation and the size of their workforce.

Score: 70 – 89
Audited and proven track record
Beyond standard verification, Premium suppliers have passed additional checks including certifications, export history, and strong buyer feedback.

Enterprise
Score: 90 – 100
Top-tier, fully audited supplier
Enterprise suppliers represent the highest level of trust on VietConnect. They have a full audit trail, strong buyer satisfaction, and dedicated support.

Verification Badges
On each supplier profile, you'll see small badges indicating which specific checks have passed. These give you a quick at-a-glance understanding of what's been verified.
Website Verified
Supplier's website is live, uses HTTPS, and has real content.
Email Verified
Email domain has valid mail exchange records and can receive messages.
Phone Verified
Phone number follows Vietnam's standard format and is a valid number type.
Address Verified
Business address has been cross-referenced with registry data or geocoded.
Factory Audited
An on-site factory inspection has been completed by our team or a trusted third party.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can suppliers pay to get a higher score?
No. The Trust Score is based entirely on verifiable data — business registration, website checks, email verification, certifications, and buyer reviews. Paid plans give suppliers more visibility and features, but the score itself is always earned.
How often are scores updated?
Verification checks run automatically on a regular basis. Website checks run weekly, email verification runs monthly, and scores are recalculated after each verification cycle. Buyer reviews are factored in as they come in.
What if a supplier's information is wrong?
Suppliers can claim their profile and update their details. All changes go through our verification process before the score is updated. Buyers can also report inaccuracies through the platform.
What does 'Verified' actually mean?
A 'Verified' supplier (score 40+) has had their business registration confirmed, their contact details validated, and their website checked. It means the company is real, active, and contactable — but it doesn't guarantee product quality or delivery performance.
How is VietConnect different from Alibaba's verification?
Alibaba's Gold Supplier is a paid membership — you pay to get verified. VietConnect's Trust Score is data-driven and cannot be purchased. We also focus exclusively on Vietnam, which means deeper local knowledge, government registry checks, and on-ground relationships.
